Kathryn Parsons, age 63, passed away peacefully Dec. 21, 2015 at Homestead Hospice in Owatonna.
Funeral service is set for 2:00 PM Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Rd.) with Rev. R. Rudolf presiding. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the service starting at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at a later date.
Kathy was born June 30, 1952, to parents Dr. E. V. and Delores Parsons in Emporia, Kansas. Shortly after the family moved to Mankato where she grew up and graduated from Mankato West High School. After high school she stayed at home and raised her 3 children. When the kids were older she worked various secretarial jobs at H&S Distributing, Rocon, and most recently at Hy-Vee. She will be remembered for her love of cooking and her two dogs which she very much enjoyed. But most of all Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and also her best friend Jill. She is survived by children, Andy (Kayla) Bohrer, Rochester, Adam (Melissa) Bohrer, Worthington, MN, Julie (Stan) Bohrer, Leadville, CO; grandchildren, Courtney, Catelyn, Christopher; siblings, Carol Parsons, Elton Parsons, Steven Parsons, very best friend Jill Mingo. She was preceded in death by parents.
