There has been a lot of moving commentary about some of our lost classmates, with all of which I agree. One omission has been Paul Dhoore. He was one of my best friends and his death at Hubbard Milling, trying to unclog a bean dump, was an unbelievably tragic end. (I actually can't imagine him sticking his neck out like that.) Like Pat and Tim, he was taken much too soon. Paul was fun and funny, gregarious and upbeat. I loved his company and mourn his passing.

Agreed Phil. I believe he was the first one we lost and needs to be remembered.

Paul was one of the my most cherished friends from our class.  His mother cooked the best catfish dinner I ever had.  His little sis Rhonda really missed Paul.  I will never forget the night when I sat with Paul when he was working as a 'full service' gas station attendant. He was complaining to me  about his luck dating girls! So when a pretty young girl pulled up at the pump I told him sternly to not come back without her phone number.
He returned with a smile on his face - AND her number.  Less than a year later I was in his wedding.  Then less than a few months his mother called. Then I remember carrying his coffin.
he was a Wonderful soul!  A good man! A nice person.  A good friend and outdoor companion.
Thank you Phil and Eric for remembering him.
I'll miss you forever,  RIP,  your forever friend,  Brad
