Ann Roberta “Bartsch” Hager, age 63 of Mankato, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Water’s Edge in Mankato.

 

Memorial service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive. Visitation one hour before the service on Saturday.

Ann Hager was born November 19, 1951 to Ewald “Doc” and Everell (Schmiesing) Bartsch in Mankato. Ann graduated from Mankato High School in 1970 and then attended MSU. She graduated from Cosmetology School in Mankato. Ann was united in marriage to Raymond Hager on July 19, 1975 at the MSU Campus Lutheran Chapel. Ann worked at the Hallmark Store’s in Mankato for over 20 years. Ray and Ann owned and operated Guenther’s Cafe in Mankato.

Ann and Ray volunteered their time with Gentle Shepherd Ministries. She enjoyed photography, genealogy, cross stitch, and collecting Scottie Dog antiques.

Ann is survived husband, Raymond of Mankato; two sisters, Jane (Jeff) Freitag, Mary Reed; brother, Dean (Ruth) Bartsch; nephew, Tony (Randi) Freitag; great niece, Claire Freitag; six brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Nick; in-laws, Raymond A. Hager and Shirley A. Jenkins ; sister-in-law; three nieces.
