David Von Drasek

Mankato native David Von Drasek died in Roseburg, Oregon on May 7 after a long illness. Dave briefly attended Mankato State University and trained in the gunsmith program at the Colorado School of Trades. He worked as a gunsmith in Roseburg for over 40 years. He was an outstanding marksman, a devoted fisherman, and a fan of the blues and the Twins.
Dave married Mankato native Patti Corcoran in 1977 in Roseburg, where she died in 2006. He is survived by son Jacob of Roseburg, and daughter Elizabeth of Peshastin, Washington, as well as brothers Paul and Joe in St Paul, Minnesota and Fred in Tallahassee, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Joseph C. Von Drasek and Lois Von Drasek of Mankato.
