Ronald Paul Rutjes, 63, Mankato, died May 3, 2015 at his home.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 9, 2015 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato.  Visitation will be held 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the services.  Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Ron was born January 24, 1952 in Mankato to Frederick & Lucille (Krueger) Rutjes.  He attended Mankato West High School.  Ron was united in marriage to Vicky Lehrke on August 1, 1970 in Mankato, the two later divorced.  Ron worked at Honeymead/CHS for 35 years and drove truck most of his life.  Ron was an outdoorsman who enjoyed sharing his time and passions with his kids, grandkids and all family and friends.

He is survived by daughters, Naomi Rutjes of Mankato, Nycole Rutjes of Mankato, and Angie  Gretz of Apple Valley; grandchildren, Kyle Rutjes, Ryan Rutjes, Alexa Dusek, Jaidyn Gretz, Michael Gretz, Madisyn Kozitza, Ariana Gretz, and Jackson Gretz; sister, Deanna Merkel; and nephews, Joe Merkel and Brett Merkel.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Susan Rutjes.
