At the risk of overstaying my welcome, I realize that no one has posted an in memorium comment about Tim Spence. I knew Tim from Sunday school through graduation, attending the same schools for thirteen years. Intelligent, kind, soft-spoken, Tim was the real deal, a fabulous friend. In his yearbook, I said we should always stay in touch. That never happened. I was shocked to learn, at our first reunion, that he died, an experimental fighter pilot, in a tragic accident. He married Mary, our homecoming queen. Who would have thought that Tim Spence was a bigger he-man than John Daugherty? In our ninth grade class, Tim was voted "most likely to succeed." Indeed.
