Mary Jo (Looft) GohlaMary Jo (Looft) Gohla, 62, of Mankato died May 16th, 2015 with her family and friend by her side at her home.

Mary Jo was born to Phillip and Dorothy (Sanders) Looft on July 20th, 1952 in Fairmont, MN. A Celebration of Life is Sunday, May 31st, at 1430 5th Avenue in Mankato at 1pm.

The family moved to Blue Earth and other towns in Southern Minnesota before settling in Mankato in 1966. She graduated in 1970 at Mankato High, married Jerry Ulrich in 1974, living in Mankato and started a family. Their marriage ended in 1985. She then married Brad Gohla in 1992 on November 26th. They lived in Mankato, Elysian, Rochester, and Grand Cayman Island. She loved spending time with family and friends. She just got her "29 Years" pin from AA, which was a very big part of her life. She had very special friends that were her family.

  She enjoyed music, cooking, baking, spending time at the cabin out at the lake, drinking coffee, playing cards, games, and playing jokes on anyone she could. She was a very good listener and if she thought you were wrong, she would give you this little smile (Never will forget the little smile).

  Mary Jo had a lot of happy times with her 3 sons, Robert Ulrich (Lia) of Rochester, MN, Michael Barsness of Alexandria, and Larry Ulrich of Mankato, and Step Daughter Jessica Hansen of Duluth, MN, her 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

  Mary Jo was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Parents, Aunts and Uncles, Brother and Father-In-Law.
