Was shocked and saddened to hear of Andy's passing. Thirty-eight years ago we named our son Andy, after Andy Johnson. So glad we had the opportunity to tell classmate Andy that his personality influenced us so much that we named our son after him. Our sympathy to the family. He will be missed by so many!

Happy Birthday, Jim! Dan and I are driving home from the North Shore and there was a crazy fool on a motorcycle darting in and out lanes on 35W. It made me think of one time when I used one of Rex's motorcycles to go riding in the hills with you and Andy Johnson. You guys may not remember that. Rex was in Viet Nam, but he let me use one of his bikes while he was gone. You were so patient to let a slow powder puffer tag along. I still keep my motorcycle endorsement after all these years even though I haven't been on a bike for years! Anyway, just wanted to say Happy Birthday and let you know that I was thinking of you today! Greet Ann from Dan and me!
Happy Birthday, Vickie! Was great to see you at the reunion, but wished we could have visited even more than we did. You are on my mind today not only because it's your birthday, but because the Lake Tahoe fires are in the news and I always think of you when I hear anything about Tahoe. What a shame that fires have been destroying beautiful areas in several states, not to mention personal losses associated with homes, cabins and lives. The past two years certainly have been stressful in so many ways! My hope is that you have a happy birthday and that things will get better for all of us living through these difficult times! Take care my friend! Marcia Bindig Dahle
Nancy, What lovely things your wrote about Pay Mutch! She was special to so many. I know that I, too, was shocked to hear about the accident that took her from us. I can't imagine finding out the way you did. It had to be terrible for Kent Garvin, too. So sad, and so unfair! I think reading what you wrote takes many of us back to that tragic day. Thanks for sharing your memories of Pat. She was such a wonderful person. It's sad to read about all of the classmates that are no longer with us. Marcia Bindig Dahle
Fun to read your profile update! I'm always interested in what's happening in the lives of former NMJH classmates. I, too, maintain a little "hobby farm" near Mankato, actually not farm from Rapidan and Good Thunder. No animals, just a lot of mowing, tree, weed, and brush cleanup. Getting too old for all of the work! Never realized you had a new sibling while in high school. The youngest of five in my family was born when I was going into 9th grade. Must have been something in the No. Kato water! I used to take him to Wheeler Park where I'm sure some thought he was my baby instead of my mother's.
Looking forward to catching up with everyone at the reunion. Marcia Bindig Dahle
Happy Birthday, Kathi! Hope you have a great day! Enjoyed texting with you recently. Looks like you were having a fun vacation. Excited to see you again! Marcia Dahle

Hi, Vickie! Sorry I haven't been in touch for quite a while. Hopefully, we can catch up at the reunion in Aug. I'm sorry to hear about the sadness in your life. Life is not fair for sure! You know that my Dad passed away in 2012. It was so nice of you, and your mom, to come to the visitation. It meant a lot to me. I have had my own sadness. My mother passed away from Covid on Thanksgiving Day 2020. She spent 10 days in the hospital, where no one was allowed to visit her. As a hospice volunteer, I sit with lots of people during their final days/hours. It makes me sad to know that my mom died alone. So unfair!
I have to tell you that you were on my mind a lot this week. We were visiting our son and his family in CA. We made a short trip to Tahoe, which made me think about you. It's a beautiful area, and I remember you telling me all about your time there.
Take care, hope to see you at the reunion! -- Marcia Bindig Dahle

Hi, Jay! It's Marcia (Bindig) Dahle here. Was just seeing your profile update and didn't realize your were in Tucson. We stayed at the South 40 RV park for a couple nights the first part of March 2020. My husband has a high school friend who lives in Tucson. Anyway, got to visit one of your urgent care clinics when my husband developed respiratory issues. I was so afraid it was Covid, but turned out to be allergy- induced asthma. Thank goodness! Anyway, we then traveled on to a few other places in AZ before we decided we just better get home before things shut down. Since retiring, we have been to AZ a few times for about a month each trip. One year I ended up in urgent care with a cough that didn't go away for 9 mos. Might stay away from AZ. I'm sort of thinking FL next year as we are just staying put right now. Glad to hear all is well with you. I need to update my profile one of these days. Looking forward to our 51st reunion in Aug--if it actually happens! I'm on a few vaccine waitlists, but no calls to come in yet. ??

Hi, Doug! Marcia Bindig Dahle commenting on your recent memory entry about Pat Mutch. She was a sweetheart! She and I were both North Mankato girls and I remember her from way back when we were both quite young. We always called her Patsy Mutch in those days. It was a sad day when I heard that she had died as a result of that accident. So unfair to lose someone that young! I am looking forward to our 50th reunion. Where have the years gone? I need to get my profile updated one of these days. Take care, see you in the fall. Thanks again for the kind words about Pat (Patsy).
