I remember the first time I met John back in 8th grade playing football. Bone Crusher. They handed the ball off to him and it took almost the whole team to bring him down. He was in beast mode running the ball. So many fond memories playing in the snow on weekends, playing in high school for MH, and playing city league touch and softball. One of the kindest big guys I know. Rest in peace my friend.
My condolences to his family.
I will miss him but keep all of the great memories.
I had a great time playing basketball with John starting with 9th grade at Franklin, Junior Varsity in 10 grade and then two years of Varsity under coach Hakes. He was a rugged player especially going for a rebound. Totally lost track of him after high school. If anyone can find an obit to post that would be great. Tim Pulis
So sad to hear about Big John! He was an usher in our wedding. He and Marilee were good friends in high school and right after. I'm sure he will be missed by family and friends.

R.I.P. Big John. You helped make me a better football player and introduced me to my lifelong love of Softball. Glad we reconnected these past couple years. See you on the other side...
